Warehousing and logistics
The back end of the operation. It stores and moves goods for other companies as well as Agni’s own.
It is a third-party service. Anyone can rent a single block, for seven days, ten days or six months. Agni will move the goods, store them, pack them, and break bulk if that is what the customer needs. The idea is to make warehouses all over Nepal.
Inside, the flow is inbound, sort, outbound, and the team has to know exactly what is where, to the dot. Every location is coded: A1, B1 and so on.
It also supports the core business. As a distributor, we have to make sure parts are delivered, and this is what ensures it.
The Hetauda centre opened on 23 July 2025. Across its centres, Agni Logistics offers a live digital inventory dashboard, digital check-in and check-out, climate- and pest-controlled document storage, and GPS-tracked delivery.

Agni Technical Institute
Our technical training centre, home to the Ignite Learning Lab. It isn’t focused on one area: IT, hospitality, services and soft skills.
The IT side teaches AI and cyber security, “not the regular course that you could find anywhere.” Hospitality is taught in a built mock environment, with a bar, a coffee station and barista training. And there are classes in services and the art of selling: “I don’t think anybody has done this.”
The reasoning is simple. Staff in shops and restaurants make mistakes because nobody taught them to serve, or to sell. Someone earning Rs 15,000 might earn around Rs 20,000 after training.
On Nepalis’ appetite for learning: the younger generation is more adaptable, and wants to learn. They’re faster, “10 times faster than us.” The older generation follows the culture more, so change comes slower.
“Skill up, definitely you’re going to earn more.”
Electric
We began selling the Reva electric car in 2012. Mahindra’s own electric SUVs followed in 2025.
I was willing to wait until 2026 for Mahindra’s electric SUVs. They came in 2025.
- BE 6
- 543 kmcertified range · from Rs 57 lakh
- XEV 9e
- 656 kmcertified range · from Rs 69 lakh
Both use LFP batteries, with an eight-year / 200,000 km battery warranty.
Rollout
Debuted at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo in August 2025, then launched region by region in 2026: Hetauda and Chitwan in January, Birgunj by February, Pokhara in March. In February, Agni said Bhairahawa and Itahari would follow. I spoke at the Chitwan launch alongside Chaitanya Kagalkar, Country Manager for Mahindra & Mahindra.
“I think none of the other manufacturers or the distributors have set up that kind of a charging station before they’ve launched a product.”
Electric isn’t totally green, though, and some argue hybrids are more sustainable.
